Mission Statement Robbinsville High School Media Center

The mission of the Robbinsville High School Library Media program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. The Robbinsville Township BOE school district library media program provides intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats. We provide instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, analyzing, researching and using information and ideas.

The librarian works with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students through learning activities. This helps each student become an independent and self-motivated learner. We work at developing full integration of the library media program into the NJ State core curriculum standards, by establishing a partnership among educators, parents, and administrators. We have a serious commitment to our library users, the students and staff and to the value of the universal and unrestricted access to information and ideas. We live in a global society that is very competitive, and truly believe our motto “Knowledge Is Power”. Our community shares our values, as evidenced by this beautiful new school and their commitment to educational excellence. The return on an investment in a library is infinite, both monetarily and intellectually.
