Summer School

Any student wishing to enroll in any of the options below must complete and return an "Option 2 Form" by July 28, 2018 to their School Counselor.  Courses cannot be started while school is still in session.
 
Attendance Recovery:
Educere is an online summer school program for students who need to recover credit due to  attendance. Registration for Educere must be completed by June 28, 2018.

Summer School to Repeat a Course Due to Failure:
Students who need to repeat a course(es) due to failure can take a maximum of 2 courses with the following organizations:
 
-Educere is an online summer school program for students who need to make up credit due to failure of a course.  Registration for Educere must be completed by June 28, 2018.

Advancing for credit (taking a course that you have never taken before)

Many students/families inquire about taking Personal Finance and Math Courses over the summer. 

The approved Personal Finance Course is through Educere:

Cost: $199.00

Students must talk with their school counselor and complete an Option 2 form prior to registering to take the course.

All students advancing an academic course are required to take the RHS Final Exam in August 2018.  The minimum percentage to pass is an 85%. This percentage may change pending the course the student wishes to go into.

Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY): CTY's gifted and talented summer programs offer bright students the opportunity to engage in challenging academic work in the company of peers who share their exceptional abilities and love of learning.  While the focus is on rigorous academics and learning, the social experience that results from bringing students together is an integral part of the program.  Website: https://cty.jhu.edu/summer
